Math! Math! Math!

Why does everyone hate math so much? It is a part of everyday life, and i believe that everyone should learn more of it. Math is the universal language of the universe and the World. If aliens we to show up on earth they would not understand our humor and or any writings or stories we have created. They would understand math because math is in everything. when you wake up in the morning and look at your clock and notice that you are running late to class you look at the time and subtract it from the time your class starts to figure out how much time you have to get there. You need math to figure out how much your paying for lunch and to make sure they are not over charging you. People need to know how to budget their money, and make sure they can maintain their life styles.
Math is falling under the bus in the school system, kids and even teachers are not taking the subject seriously. I also believe this is due to the parents not caring about the subject. Once parents leave the school system mathematics is not a subject most adults remember and or use the advance styles of...aka geometry, calculus, advanced algebra, and trigonometry. Also they are not apart of our entertainment and media shows, so why would remember it? I mean there is the discovery channel where we can learn new thing about biology and chemistry and some times even astronomy. There is the history channel to keep up on the history we learned in school. But there is no math channel where people use math and keep people informed about new and old happenings in math. The American people are not interesting in because it it boring and if Americans are not drawn into a subject they will lose interest.
Other countries like Russia, India, Germany, China, and Japan have far better math programs and these people with great math skills are getting the engineering jobs and the teaching jobs in mathematics. Also some of these people that are architects which involves a lot of math and creativity are going to people who have excellent math skills. I believe that we need to make sure that the kids that we will have in the future need to be math ready and math prepared. Math should be praised not frowned upon by us adults, and parents. One day our kids will be asking us for our help on a math problem, and we will have to be there for them. If we push the subject aside so will they.
