Touch point project
For this assignment i went out to Tres Hombes, and noticed some of their touch point advertising. Located at the outside bar hanging over the bar are 2 blow up plastic Corona bottles. One is a regular Corona bottle and the other one was a Corona light bottle. The picture I took was of the Corona light bottle. The purpose of this advertising it to try to convince you at your point of purchase to change your mind or reconfirm that you are buying a Corona. Since it is a Mexican restaurant it is normally associated with a Mexican beer, and one of the most popular is Corona. I think it works about average. I think if you are on a limited budget it might not if they are not on sale, but if you are eating there then I feel that noticing the bottles might influence your decision. This touch point ad costs penny's to the business they more then likely got them for free from Corona and on Corona's end it does not cost them much to buy and give out these plastic bottles. I do not think that it would be better to use mass media for this, and or in this area. The Touch point ads work fine for the bar down here.
